Created in 2009 by the Head of State H.E. President Paul Biya to be the speaker of the more than 15.000 youth organization in Cameroon, the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC), is a national forum for consultation, expression, coordination, dialogue and action of youth’s organization in Cameroon.

Since 2009, we, the Cameroon National Youth Council, under the leadership of 4,280 executives across the 10 regions of Cameroon — spanning from the subdivisional to the regional levels — and 13 national-level executives supported by 47 national volunteers, have mobilized more than 21,300 volunteers and thematic network leaders throughout the national territory. Together, we have achieved an unprecedented milestone — organizing more than 190,000 events, impacting communities in 120 cities across all 10 regions of Cameroon, and engaging in international exchanges in 15 countries (see them all on a map).
