« Je suis très en joie et ravi des fruits du travail que je mène depuis un certain temps pour préparer cette compétition », c’est le sentiment de satisfaction du jeune Valentin Ndzana de la région du Centre, qui remporte la médaille d’or en 100 m Para handisport chez les messieurs lors de ces jeux nationaux du Sport extrascolaire au Stade Omnisports de Yaoundé. À sa suite, plusieurs athlètes reçoivent des mains du Ministre Mounouna Foutsou et d’autres officiels les médailles consacrant le résultat de leur performance. Des performances saluées par le Membre du Gouvernement qui a encouragé ces jeunes à continuer à exceller. « Après deux journées de compétition, nous nous rendons qu’il y’a beaucoup de talents, cela nous conforte dans l’organisation de ces jeux, pour détecter ces jeunes talents à travers notre programme National d’Education civique par le Réarmement Moral, civique et entrepreneurial », a indiqué Mounouna Foutsou. Un message passé également au Gymnase de Mfandena pour les finales de luttes traditionnelles et des sports de combats, où une fois de plus les jeunes compétiteurs ont démontré leurs forces. Ici, la région de l’extrême-nord remporte l’or dans la catégorie lutte traditionnelle, tandis que le centre remporte l’or pour ce qui est du judo messieurs.
La suite de la visite a été le village des jeux, où le Ministre Mounouna Foutsou a assisté à l’expression des talents artistiques des jeunes à travers les concours de mbolé, et le concours des fan’s club. Partout où il est passé, on pouvait lire la satisfaction sur le visage des jeunes participants venus de plusieurs régions du pays, qui n’ont pas hésité à le remercier pour leur prise en compte à travers l’organisation de ces Jeux Nationaux du Sport Extrascolaire - Jenasesco.
