Aujourd'hui, le 10 août 2024, marque le premier anniversaire de l'installation du Bureau National du Conseil National de la Jeunesse du Cameroun (CNJC). Ce jalon fait suite à notre quatrième élection générale tenue en décembre 2022, où des leaders de la jeunesse ont été élus aux niveaux communal, départemental, régional et national. En réfléchissant à notre parcours au cours de l'année écoulée, nous sommes fiers de mettre en lumière certains de nos principaux accomplissements.

Principaux Accomplissements :

  1. JENACESCO (Jeux Nationaux des Sports Extra Scolaires) : Du 17 au 22 décembre 2023, les JENACESCO ont été un événement remarquable réunissant 150 établissements, 100 associations et 1 829 athlètes participant à 41 disciplines sportives différentes, notamment l'athlétisme, le basketball, le football, le handball, le judo, la lutte, les sports paralympiques et le volleyball. L'événement a attiré 20 000 visiteurs et 1 000 exposants, avec un total de 339 événements. Il a fourni une plateforme aux jeunes de divers horizons, y compris ceux du secteur informel, pour montrer leurs talents dans un environnement structuré et formel.

  2. World Youth Camp 2024 : Du 8 au 10 février 2024, le Cameroun a fièrement accueilli le World Youth Camp, organisé par le CNJC en collaboration avec l'International Youth Fellowship (IYF) et le Ministère de la Jeunesse et de l'Éducation Civique (MINJEC). Cet événement était axé sur l'éducation de l'esprit, la formation PRONEC RÉAMORCE, le développement de l'entrepreneuriat, l'innovation, et plus encore. Le camp a accueilli plus de 5 000 jeunes, leur offrant des idées et des expériences précieuses essentielles à leur développement personnel et professionnel. Nous avons eu l'honneur d'accueillir des participants de plus de 30 pays, créant un riche environnement d'échanges interculturels où nous avons appris d'eux et ils ont appris de nous.

  3. Forum de Développement de la Jeunesse au Global Youth Camp 2024 : Le Forum de Développement de la Jeunesse, qui s'est tenu lors du World Youth Camp le 10 février 2024, a été un événement marquant réunissant des jeunes leaders, visionnaires et acteurs de changement venus du Cameroun, d'Afrique et du monde entier. Organisé par le CNJC, le forum s'est concentré sur le thème "La Contribution des Jeunes à la Réalisation des ODD et des Objectifs de l'Agenda 2063 de l'Union Africaine". Il a souligné le rôle crucial des jeunes dans la promotion du développement durable et a présenté les 50 actions d'excellence du plan d'action national 2024 du CNJC. Ces actions ont mis en lumière l'esprit entrepreneurial et l'engagement des jeunes Camerounais envers le développement socio-économique. Le forum a également facilité des partenariats stratégiques et des accords de collaboration, ouvrant la voie à de futures initiatives plaçant les jeunes au cœur des objectifs mondiaux.

  4. Marche Nationale contre le Discours de Haine (Mai 2024 - Juin 2024) : La Marche Nationale contre le Discours de Haine a été une initiative significative qui s'est déroulée de mai à juin 2024. Cette campagne nationale a été menée par la Présidente Nationale du CNJC, Madame Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, et a impliqué des jeunes des dix régions du Cameroun. La campagne visait à sensibiliser et à lutter contre le discours de haine, la cybercriminalité et la xénophobie, en promouvant la paix et la cohésion sociale. Dans le cadre de cette initiative, le CNJC a publié la DÉCLARATION DU CONSEIL NATIONAL DE LA JEUNESSE DU CAMEROUN (CNJC) CONTRE LE DISCOURS DE HAINE, LA CYBERCRIMINALITÉ, LA XÉNOPHOBIE, ET LA CONTRIBUTION DES JEUNES À LA CONSTRUCTION DE LA PAIX À TRAVERS LA MARCHE POUR LA PAIX DES JEUNES CITOYENS. Cette déclaration était une puissante manifestation de notre engagement à bâtir un Cameroun pacifique et uni.

  5. Mobilisation de Fonds pour les Activités Menées par des Jeunes (Décembre 2023 - Février 2024) : Nous avons réussi à mobiliser 100 000 euros pendant cette période pour soutenir six associations de jeunes axées sur la promotion des droits de l'homme. Ce soutien financier a permis à ces associations d'étendre leurs activités et d'avoir un impact plus important dans leurs communautés.

  6. Assemblée Générale (8 février 2024) : L'Assemblée Générale du CNJC s'est tenue le 8 février 2024 et a marqué un moment crucial pour l'organisation. Lors de cette assemblée, le CNJC a adopté son plan d'action pour 2024, validé le rapport moral présenté par la Présidente Nationale, Madame Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, et approuvé le rapport d'activités présenté par le Secrétaire Général, Messambe Cederic. De plus, le rapport financier a été présenté et validé par le Trésorier Général, Forcha Glen Beloa, tandis que l'auditeur national, Jacques Christian Guy Kouedi, a présenté son rapport d'audit complet. Ces approbations et validations ont jeté les bases d'une année productive à venir.

  7. Renforcement des Capacités des Leaders du CNJC (Décembre 2022 - Présent) : Tout au long de l'année, nous avons mené des programmes de formation intensifs visant à renforcer les capacités des leaders du CNJC à différents niveaux, y compris les membres du Bureau National, les membres des Bureaux Régionaux, et plus encore. Ces sessions de formation ont permis d'équiper nos dirigeants des compétences et des connaissances nécessaires pour mener efficacement leurs missions, garantissant que le CNJC continue de représenter et de défendre la jeunesse à travers le Cameroun.

  8. Renforcement des Capacités des Jeunes Leaders : Nous avons établi des partenariats avec de nombreuses organisations nationales et internationales pour former et améliorer les capacités non seulement des dirigeants du CNJC, mais aussi d'autres jeunes leaders, entrepreneurs et certains chefs d'entreprise à travers le pays. Cette initiative continue vise à donner aux jeunes les moyens de conduire des changements positifs et de contribuer de manière significative à leurs communautés.

  9. Relocalisation du Bureau National : Nous avons réussi à relocaliser le Bureau National du CNJC d'Omnisports à Bastos, offrant un emplacement plus accessible et stratégique pour nos opérations.

  10. Nombreux Partenariats et Événements : Au cours de l'année, nous avons établi plusieurs partenariats et participé à de nombreux événements visant à promouvoir le développement de la jeunesse, l'entrepreneuriat et l'engagement civique. Bien que nous ne puissions pas tous les mentionner, chaque partenariat et événement a contribué à notre mission et à l'autonomisation des jeunes.

  11. Facilitation de la Sélection et de la Formation de 800 Leaders Jeunes (En Cours) : Nous avons également facilité la sélection et la formation de 800 jeunes leaders de 40 conseils à travers le Cameroun. Cette initiative en cours vise à donner à ces leaders les compétences et les connaissances nécessaires pour conduire des changements positifs et contribuer à leurs communautés.

  12. Réalisations Régionales, Départementales et Communales : Au-delà des réalisations du Bureau National, de nombreuses réalisations ont été menées par les bureaux régionaux, départementaux et communaux. Ces efforts ont grandement contribué au développement de la jeunesse à tous les niveaux et peuvent être explorés en détail sur notre site officiel.

Historique du Conseil National de la Jeunesse du Cameroun (CNJC) :

Le Conseil National de la Jeunesse du Cameroun (CNJC) a été créé en 2009 par le Président de la République, Chef de l'État et Chef des Armées, S.E. M. Paul Biya. Le CNJC sert d'organe représentatif pour plus de 14 000 organisations de jeunesse au Cameroun. C'est un forum national de consultation, d'expression, de coordination, de dialogue et d'action parmi les organisations de jeunesse du pays. Le CNJC joue un rôle crucial en veillant à ce que les voix des jeunes soient entendues et leurs préoccupations prises en compte, contribuant ainsi au développement et à l'autonomisation des jeunes à travers le Cameroun.

Premier Mandat (2009 - 2013) : Abdoulaye Abdou Razack

Pendant le premier mandat, le CNJC s'est concentré sur la promotion de la participation des jeunes aux processus décisionnels, la défense des droits des jeunes et l'amélioration des opportunités éducatives pour les jeunes individus. Le Président du CNJC pendant ce mandat était Abdoulaye Abdou Razack.

Deuxième Mandat (2013 - 2018) : Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor

Le deuxième mandat a mis l'accent sur la consolidation de la paix, l'intégration nationale et la cohésion sociale. Sous la direction de Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor, le CNJC a étendu sa portée et son influence à travers le pays.

Troisième Mandat (2018 - 2022) : Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou

Pendant le troisième mandat, l'accent a été mis sur la promotion de la paix, l'intégration nationale et le vivre ensemble. Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou a dirigé le CNJC pendant cette période, en introduisant de nouveaux programmes pour répondre aux défis auxquels sont confrontés les jeunes.

Quatrième Mandat (2022 - Présent) : Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou

Le quatrième mandat, sous la direction de Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, continue d'autonomiser les jeunes, d'améliorer l'accès à l'éducation et aux opportunités d'emploi, et de promouvoir l'innovation et la littératie numérique. Ce mandat a vu la mise en œuvre de plusieurs initiatives clés visant à promouvoir le développement de la jeunesse à l'ère numérique.

Today, August 10, 2024, marks the one-year anniversary of the installation of the National Bureau of the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC). This milestone follows our fourth general election held in December 2022, where youth leaders were elected from the subdivisional, divisional, regional, and national levels. As we reflect on our journey over the past year, we are proud to highlight some of our major achievements.

Major Achievements:

  1. JENACESCO (Jeux Nationaux des Sports Extra Scolaires): Held from December 17 to 22, 2023, JENACESCO was a remarkable event featuring 150 establishments, 100 associations, and 1,829 athletes competing in 41 different sports disciplines, including athletics, basketball, football, handball, judo, wrestling, paralympic sports, and volleyball. The event attracted 20,000 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors, with a total of 339 events. It provided a platform for young people from diverse backgrounds, including those from informal sectors, to showcase their talents in a structured and formal environment.
  2. World Youth Camp 2024: From February 8th to 10th, 2024, Cameroon proudly hosted the World Youth Camp, organized by the CNYC in collaboration with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC). This event focused on mind education, PRONEC RÉAMORCE training, entrepreneurship nurturing, innovation, and more. The camp welcomed over 5,000 youths, providing them with valuable insights and experiences critical for their personal and professional development. We were honored to have participants from more than 30 countries, creating a rich environment of cross-cultural exchange where we learned from them and they learned from us.
  3. Youth Development Forum at the World Youth Camp 2024: The Youth Development Forum, held during the World Youth Camp on February 10th, 2024, was a landmark event that brought together young leaders, visionaries, and changemakers from across Cameroon, Africa, and the globe. Organized by the CNYC, the forum focused on the theme "The Contribution of Youth to Achieving the SDGs and the Goals of the African Union's Agenda 2063." It emphasized the crucial role of youth in driving sustainable development and featured the showcase of 50 excellent actions from the CNYC's 2024 national action plan. These actions underscored the entrepreneurial spirit and commitment of Cameroonian youth to socio-economic development. The forum also facilitated strategic partnerships and collaboration agreements, paving the way for future initiatives that place youth at the forefront of global goals.
  4. National Walk Against Hate Speech (May 2024 - June 2024): The National Walk Against Hate Speech was a significant initiative that ran from May to June 2024. This nationwide campaign was championed by the National President of the CNYC, Madame Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, and involved young people from all ten regions of Cameroon. The campaign aimed to raise awareness and combat hate speech, cybercrime, and xenophobia, promoting peace and social cohesion. As part of this initiative, the CNYC issued the DECLARATION OF THE CAMEROON NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL (CNYC) AGAINST HATE SPEECH, CYBERCRIME, XENOPHOBIA, AND YOUTH CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS PEACEBUILDING THROUGH YOUNG CITIZENS’ PEACE WALK. This declaration was a powerful statement of our commitment to building a peaceful and united Cameroon.
  5. Mobilization of Funds for Youth-Led Activities (December 2023 - February 2024): We successfully mobilized 100,000 euros during this period to support six youth-led associations focused on promoting human rights. This financial support has enabled these associations to expand their activities and make a greater impact in their communities.
  6. General Assembly (February 8th, 2024): The General Assembly of the CNYC was held on February 8th, 2024, and served as a pivotal moment for the organization. During this assembly, the CNYC adopted its plan of action for 2024, validated the moral report presented by the National President, Madame Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, and approved the activity report delivered by the Secretary General, Messambe Cederic. Additionally, the financial report was presented and validated by the Treasurer General, Forcha Glen Beloa, while the national auditor, Jacques Christian Guy Kouedi, gave his comprehensive audit report. These approvals and validations have laid the groundwork for a productive year ahead.
  7. Capacity Building of CNYC Leaders (December 2022 - Present): Throughout the year, we have conducted extensive training programs aimed at building the capacity of CNYC leaders at various levels, including National Bureau members, Regional Bureau members, and more. These training sessions have equipped our leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out their duties, ensuring that the CNYC continues to represent and advocate for the youth across Cameroon.
  8. Capacity Building of Youth Leaders: We have partnered with numerous national and international organizations to train and improve the capacity of not just CNYC leadership but also other youth leaders, entrepreneurs, and some business leaders across the country. This ongoing initiative is aimed at empowering youth to drive positive change and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
  9. Relocation of the National Office: We successfully relocated the National Office of the CNYC from Omnisports to Bastos, providing a more accessible and strategic location for our operations.
  10. Numerous Partnerships and Events: Throughout the year, we have established several partnerships and participated in numerous events aimed at promoting youth development, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. While we cannot mention all of them, each partnership and event has contributed to our mission and the empowerment of the youth.
  11. Facilitation of Selection and Training of 800 Youth Leaders (Ongoing): We also facilitated the selection and training of 800 youth leaders from 40 councils across Cameroon. This ongoing initiative aims to empower these leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive positive change and contribute to their communities.
  12. Regional, Divisional, and Subdivisional Achievements: Beyond the accomplishments of the National Bureau, numerous achievements have been carried out by the regional, divisional, and subdivisional offices. These efforts have significantly contributed to youth development at all levels and can be explored in detail on our official website.

President Paul Biya, for his continuous support of the youth in Cameroon. History of the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC):

The Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC) was created in 2009 by the President of the Republic, the Head of State and Head of the Armed Forces, H.E. Mr. Paul Biya. The CNYC serves as the representative body for over 14,000 youth organizations in Cameroon. It is a national forum for consultation, expression, coordination, dialogue, and action among youth organizations in the country. The CNYC plays a crucial role in ensuring that the voices of the youth are heard and their concerns addressed, contributing to the development and empowerment of young people across Cameroon.

First Mandate (2009 - 2013): Abdoulaye Abdou Razack

During the first mandate, the CNYC focused on promoting youth participation in decision-making processes, advocating for youth rights, and enhancing educational opportunities for young individuals. The President of the CNYC during this mandate was Abdoulaye Abdou Razack.

Second Mandate (2013 - 2018): Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor

The second mandate emphasized peacebuilding, national integration, and social cohesion. Under the leadership of Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor, the CNYC expanded its reach and influence across the country.

Third Mandate (2018 - 2022): Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou

During the third mandate, the focus was on promoting peace, national integration, and living together. Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou led the CNYC during this period, introducing new programs to address the challenges faced by the youth.

Fourth Mandate (2022 - Present): Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou

The fourth mandate, under the leadership of Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, continues to empower the youth, enhance access to education and employment opportunities, and promote innovation and digital literacy. This mandate has seen the implementation of several key initiatives aimed at driving youth development in the digital age.
