Du 24 février au 3 mars 2025, le Ministre MOUNOUNA FOUTSOU s'est rendu en Belgique pour échanger avec la jeunesse camerounaise de la diaspora sur les opportunités économiques, les investissements et le développement national. Sa visite s’est concentrée sur le renforcement des liens entre la DIASPORA et le CAMEROUN, l'encouragement des contributions productives, et la mise en avant des opportunités d'AUTONOMISATION DES JEUNES.
Cette initiative ne portait pas seulement sur le dialogue, mais sur la CONSTRUCTION NATIONALE. Le Ministre a cherché à inspirer les jeunes Camerounais à INVESTIR DANS LEUR PAYS, à s'engager dans des projets de développement et à devenir DES LEADERS DU CHANGEMENT POSITIF.
Cependant, au lieu de favoriser des discussions constructives, certains CAMEROUNAIS et autres Africains vivant en Belgique ont recours à la violence, attaquant le Ministre. De telles actions ne sont pas seulement regrettables, mais aussi CONTRE-PRODUCTIVES.
LA VIOLENCE N'A PAS DE PLACE DANS LA DÉMOCRATIE
Les divergences et opinions diverses sont normales dans toute société, mais la VIOLENCE — qu'elle soit PHYSIQUE, VERBALE, ou EN LIGNE — ne peut jamais être justifiée. Elle ne renforce aucune cause; elle crée seulement la division et compromet les efforts pour le progrès.
RESPECT, DIALOGUE ET CONSTRUCTION NATIONALE
En tant que CAMEROUNAIS, nous devons nous rappeler que le respect de notre CONSTITUTION, DE NOS INSTITUTIONS et de nos AUTORITÉS est un pilier fondamental de l'unité nationale et de la stabilité. Que nous soyons d'accord ou non avec les politiques, le chemin à suivre doit toujours passer par des moyens LÉGAUX, DÉMOCRATIQUES, et PACIFIQUES.
Une nation ne peut progresser si ses citoyens MINENT sa constitution et ses institutions par la violence. Au lieu de cela, nous devons :

REJETER LA VIOLENCE SOUS TOUTES SES FORMES.

RESPECTER LES PRINCIPES DÉMOCRATIQUES et nous engager dans des DISCUTIONS CONSTRUCTIVES.

EXPRIMER NOS DIFFÉRENCES PAR LE BIAIS DU DÉBAT ET DES ÉLECTIONS, et non par l'intimidation.

PROMOUVOIR L'UNITÉ, LA PAIX, et les idées qui contribuent au développement national.
Construire un meilleur Cameroun nécessite DIALOGUE, RESPECT, et COLLABORATION. Concentrons-nous sur DES SOLUTIONS, et non sur la destruction.

From February 24th to March 3rd, 2025, Minister MOUNOUNA FOUTSOU traveled to Belgium to engage with Cameroonian diaspora youth on economic opportunities, investments, and national development. His visit focused on strengthening ties between the DIASPORA and CAMEROON, encouraging productive contributions, and showcasing opportunities for YOUTH EMPOWERMENT.
This initiative was not just about dialogue — it was about NATION-BUILDING. The Minister sought to inspire young Cameroonians to INVEST IN THEIR COUNTRY, engage in development projects, and become LEADERS OF POSITIVE CHANGE.
However, instead of fostering meaningful discussions, some CAMEROONIANS and other Africans living in Belgium resorted to violence, attacking the Minister. Such actions are not only regrettable but also COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.
VIOLENCE HAS NO PLACE IN DEMOCRACY
Disagreements and diverse opinions are normal in any society, but VIOLENCE — whether PHYSICAL, VERBAL, or ONLINE — can never be justified. It does not strengthen any cause; it only creates division and undermines efforts toward progress.
RESPECT, DIALOGUE, AND NATION-BUILDING
As CAMEROONIANS, we must remember that respect for our CONSTITUTION, INSTITUTIONS, and AUTHORITIES is a fundamental pillar of national unity and stability. Whether we agree or disagree with policies, the path forward must always be through LEGAL, DEMOCRATIC, and PEACEFUL MEANS.
A nation cannot progress if its citizens UNDERMINE its constitution and institutions through violence. Instead, we must:

REJECT VIOLENCE IN ALL ITS FORMS.

RESPECT DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES and engage in CONSTRUCTIVE DISCUSSIONS.

EXPRESS DIFFERENCES THROUGH DEBATE AND ELECTIONS, not intimidation.

PROMOTE UNITY, PEACE, and ideas that contribute to national development.
Building a better Cameroon requires DIALOGUE, RESPECT, and COLLABORATION. Let’s focus on SOLUTIONS, not destruction.
