Le 15 mai 2024, le Ministre de la Jeunesse et de l'Éducation Civique, Mounouna Foutsou, a officiellement inauguré le Village de l'Unité sur l'esplanade de l'Hôtel de Ville de Yaoundé. Ce village, dédié à la promotion de l'unité nationale, est un événement annuel organisé à l'occasion de la Fête Nationale du Cameroun. L'événement a vu la participation du Ministre de l'Emploi et de la Formation Professionnelle, Son Excellence Issa Tchiroma Bakary, et du Ministre de l'Élevage, des Pêches et des Industries Animales, Dr Taïga. Ensemble, ils ont coupé le ruban symbolisant l'ouverture officielle du Village de l'Unité.
Le Village de l'Unité est un événement socio-culturel visant à promouvoir l'unité nationale, le vivre-ensemble et la diversité culturelle. Il sert également de plateforme pour la promotion des produits locaux, facilitant les rencontres et les échanges entre les divers acteurs de la vie sociale, économique et politique.
Mise en Valeur du Stand du CNYC
L'un des éléments marquants du Village de l'Unité de cette année était le stand du Conseil National de la Jeunesse du Cameroun (CNYC). Ce stand a joué un rôle crucial en démontrant l'implication active des jeunes dans la promotion de l'unité et de l'engagement civique. Le stand du CNYC a présenté diverses initiatives menées par des jeunes visant à favoriser l'esprit communautaire, à encourager la responsabilité civique et à soutenir le développement national. Il a offert un espace aux jeunes leaders pour présenter leurs projets, partager des idées et inspirer leurs pairs à jouer un rôle actif dans leurs communautés.
La présence du CNYC a mis en lumière l'importance de l'engagement des jeunes dans les processus socio-politiques de la nation. À travers des sessions interactives, des ateliers et des présentations, le stand du CNYC a souligné le rôle des jeunes comme moteurs de changement. Les efforts du conseil pour promouvoir l'éducation civique, les valeurs morales et l'esprit entrepreneurial étaient évidents, montrant le potentiel des jeunes à contribuer de manière significative à l'unité et au développement national.

Le Village de l'Unité comprenait également plusieurs autres quartiers notables :
- Quartier de la Substitution aux Importations : Ici, le pack agropastoral a été présenté comme un cadeau symbolique au Président de la République, Son Excellence Paul Biya. Ce geste, dirigé par Zomba'a Doudjo Armand, Président de la Confédération Africaine des Acteurs Agropastoraux, était une réponse au discours du Président sur la politique de substitution aux importations.
- Quartier PRONEC-REAMORCE : Cette zone était axée sur la promotion du réarmement civique, moral et entrepreneurial des jeunes.
- Quartier des Administrations et Institutions : Cette section comprenait le stand MIPROMAL (Ministère de la Recherche Scientifique et de l'Innovation) et d'autres représentations importantes.
- Savoir-Faire Ancestral et Patrimoine : Célébrant les connaissances et pratiques traditionnelles, cette zone mettait en avant le riche patrimoine culturel du Cameroun.
Discours et Encouragements
Dans son discours, Zomba'a Doudjo Armand a exprimé sa gratitude pour les conseils du Président Paul Biya, en se référant à ses conseils aux jeunes en 2016. Il a souligné leurs efforts pour professionnaliser la qualité et la production de masse en agriculture, affirmant que la terre ne trahit jamais. Leurs efforts portent progressivement leurs fruits, encourageant les jeunes et les membres à produire et innover.
Le père de la jeunesse et les autres membres du gouvernement présents à la cérémonie d'ouverture ont souligné l'importance des symboles et emblèmes nationaux comme signes de patriotisme. Ils ont encouragé les jeunes à s'engager dans le secteur agricole et d'autres secteurs économiques pour faire avancer la politique de substitution aux importations, exhortant chacun à être un lion indomptable dans son domaine de compétence.
Le Village de l'Unité 2024 a été une célébration vibrante de l'unité, de la diversité et des valeurs partagées du Cameroun, avec un fort accent sur l'implication des jeunes et l'intégration nationale. On May 15, 2024, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, officially opened the Unity Village at the esplanade of the Yaoundé City Hall. This village, dedicated to the promotion of national unity, is an annual event organized on the occasion of Cameroon's National Day. The event was attended by the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, His Excellency Issa Tchiroma Bakary, and the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries, and Animal Industries, Dr. Taïga. Together, they cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the Unity Village.
